Good song; high unintentional comedy points

LINK TO VIDEO WITH HIGH UNINTENTIONAL COMEDY FACTOR AT END OF POST

I am presently listening to Charles Trenet’s original “Que reste-t-il de nos amours” and enjoying it very much…I like the French lyrics better than the familiar English ones that you get out of Frank Sinatra or Stacey Kent or presumably, if she ever gets around to it, my personal favorite singer of standards, Melissa Tham. The “I Wish You Love” lyrics are a rewrite, not a translation; the French ones are bleaker and I like them better.

As a bonus, you can see Françoise Hardy singing it here, with a VERY high degree of unintentionally comedy provided by the sunglasses of Alain Bashung.
